I didn’t even have an account at first, but after stumbling upon many Maxton Hall – The World Between Us videos online, curiosity kicked in! I had to check it out! Once I started, I was captivated and didn’t stop until I watched every last scene! Not a spoiler but the ending left me feeling devastated and craving for more. Harriet Herbig-Matten (Ruby) and Damian Hardung (James) has such chemistry that you can practically feel the sparks flying off the screen! Initially I was sceptical at the start about the plot—another story of the scholarship girl squaring off against the rich boy in a posh private school. Boring, right? But, did this series flip my expectations upside down! Sure, it’s got the classic trope, but it also has so much more! They break down the shiny facade to reveal that life’s a rollercoaster, and behind those polished hallways, nothing’s as perfect as it seems and everyone is hiding something.

The series is all about embracing love, looking beyond the surface, letting go of judgments, finding real friendships and relationships and most importantly letting the right person peek into the real you whilst fighting against all odds. I absolutely adore that it’s in German! It adds this mysterious that’s just too intriguing to resist vibe. Big shoutout to Prime Video for not filming in English, that would’ve changed the whole story upside down!

I did some digging and guess what? Season 2 is in filming and is set to be released in 2025! Can’t wait to see more of Ruby and James! Are you excited for season 2?
