Are you looking for a mystery that gets your attention from the first minute and keeps you second-guessing your suspect list? ‘The Residence’ is full of mystery, intrigue and twists that will keep you on the edge of your seat. From its complex web of deceit, power and hidden motives, the series demands your attention. The more you watch, the more you question who could be behind it all.

If there is one thing about the series, it is that the characters are so complex, each with their own motives, that it makes it impossible to trust anyone. The characters have their own personal problems and seem to hide something, making it impossible to trust any of them. The tension between the characters reveals their ambitions, secret connections, grudges and, most importantly, the motives that lead them to be involved in the case. Every episode throws out new suspects and more twists, and you will find yourself reevaluating who is on your suspect list. If you’re like me and love to figure out who did it before the reveal, get ready to second-guess your suspects as each clue forces you to reconsider everything you thought you knew.

At times, the pacing and storytelling could be a bit overwhelming as you have to keep all the clues and motives in mind but also learn about the characters through some of their out-of-work life and actions taking place. If you’re someone who likes to solve a mystery quickly, this one might test your patience. With 8 episodes, 132 rooms and 157 suspects, you’ll have to be patient and pay attention to the clues revealed. Just when you think you have finally found who the suspect is, another character and their motive will be shown.

What I love about the show is how it plays with your mind. Just when you think you’ve figured out who did it, there is a new lead in a completely different direction that leaves you guessing. Although I wish I was certain of who the suspect was at the end, I can’t say I was disappointed, as the reveal is shocking and feels like you could have figured it out if you paid enough attention.

If you are a fan of mysteries that have many twists and turns and feel like a movie mystery is not enough, then ‘The Residence’ is a must-watch. It’s a series that you can watch on your own and look out for clues, or watch it with your friends and discuss at the end of each episode who you think the suspects are.

Ready to dive in? Can’t wait to hear who you thought was the main suspect. And don’t forget to follow for more reviews!
